I think this is the latest that I've ever posted a 'weekly' update. Here the week is almost up! What with play practice, Easter celebrations, crappy haircuts to fix, and having to hold Sydney while she naps (so she doesn't get so congested) I have been one tired momma.
Yesterday, though, Sarah and I made time to go to the tulip farm and take some pictures (click on pictures for larger copy). What an adventure. It's been raining cats and dogs here for the past couple weeks, so the tulip farms were just a little bit muddy. But being true Northwesterners, we said, "Who cares!" and plopped the babies down in big puddles of mud to get pictures. Well, not quite. I did bring a towel for the girls to sit on, so they actually stayed pretty mud-free. Unlike my coat, my bag, my strollers, my shoes (and oh how I was wishing for a pair of wellies!), and seemingly the entire interior of my car. Not until we tromped through the mud and rain did we spy the bark dusted area that was much cleaner. About this time the sun came out too, so we wrangled the girls out of their winter coats and told them to play nicely with the tulips.
Considering they both had colds, considering they both had wet bottoms from sitting in the bark dust, considering it was lunch time, and considering their penchant for crushing the tulips rather than smelling them, I'd say it went pretty well. They mostly enjoyed talking to each other. Complaining bitterly I'm sure about their overzealous picture taking mother.
