The snot invasion
I woke up this morning thinking that someone had traded out my precious baby for a baby seal. Was it possible that hacking noise was really coming from my sweet girl? Indeed, not only possible but quite true. She's also got the runny eyes, runny nose, and sneezes. So much for showing off her Easter dress at church tomorrow. We'll probably have to stay home.
Even though she clearly felt miserable all day, it didn't seem to slow her down too much. Today she finally mastered the trick of standing up without any help. I might even say she has officially been promoted to the rank of "walker." She's still got the whole zombie walk going on, and she still crawls a fair amount, but she usually starts out wherever she's going by walking. This week I'm sure I'll be busy buying pillows to hide those sharp corners on the coffee table and fireplace. I know companies manufacture safety bumpers you can attach to furniture, but they're so...what's the word...ugly? Icky? A crime against decorating? I'll splurge a bit and get pillows, thanks.
Oh, and yesterday I got my hair cut. Short. Can't say that I care much for it. It's not that I don't like it short, just that I don't like the way she cut it. It doesn't bring me to tears or anything, and it isn't any worse than it was before, but it doesn't make me feel pretty. And isn't that the whole point of a haircut? Oh well. It'll grow out.

Poor baby! Hope she is feeling better and the Easter bunny brought her some goodies!
I just got my hair cut short too...(from pretty long) and it has been driving me crazy the whole time I've been here in Georgia!
Happy Easter!

I have to confess that my baby has been hacking and had the sniffles all weekend too! I have not been getting to much sleep due to the whole "I can't breath mom!" thing.
I feel so bad that poor Sydney has been sick. I 'm sure that trading sippy cups the other day may have something to do with it =( Love you guys! Get well soon!

I got my hair cut short, too. Like with a #3 on the clippers. Somehow I think that short hair is more of a big issue for you womenfolk, than for us uncouth men...
Regarding the runny nose and eyes (is it possible to have a runny face?), I hope y'all ended up having a great Easter anyway!

Oh dear! I hope your little walking doll feels better soon!! Runny face (per John's comment) is no fun, no matter how big or small you are. Also, bummer on not getting a great cut. I am glad you haven't been reduced to tears. There have been 2 haircuts in all my history that actually have done that. =} Hope you had a happy Easter!

haircuts definately should make you feel 100% pretty. first-hand experience though, you are darling with short hair, just got to knock some bloomin' tulips into your barber to get it just how you want. also, about the tulips, we might have to just chance it by going on a day with slight showers, never know when the sun will shine. however, probably should wait till little syd is not so sniffling, poor thing.

Hope the little one is feeling better... and sometimes haircuts take a week to look right!

Hello. Found your blog through Giao's. I found the Peeps lip balm at Party City. Don't know if you have any by you. I can try to locate one if you like?
