It is the end of the month, and I did it. I posted every. single. day. I followed through with NaBloPoMo. As I typed this, Jason said, "Hey, it's your last post!"
"Yes," I mumbled, trying to think of something witty to type.
"You going to keep it up?"
Manic laughing from me.
Okay, so it was mostly fun. Except that whole posting on the weekend thing. Very much not fun (although you must admit the Open House bit is at least mildly entertaining). Also, since I have a limited amount of time to spend at the computer, I had to really cut into my blog reading/commenting, which made me a bit grumpy at times. I had grand ambitions of really getting deep with my writing. You know, growing as a writer and exploring some serious, mysterious part of my soul. That part didn't ever really develop, but such is life.
And now that the month is over I have my reward: my mom fixed my laptop. Can you believe I posted this entire month without using my wireless Internet? It was as miserable as it sounds, but now I'm fully equipped to post every day in December (ha. not even.). But, yes, laptop is back and it even has a new keyboard (which has been difficult to use since last August). Now I can visit you all and comment and be happy and not feel the looming responsibility of writing every day. Of course, December will have plenty of exciting posts of its own. Like having a baby. Or, if you'd rather, stories of Christmas shopping. Whichever you find more exciting.
So, thanks for hanging out here for the month. And send me Christmas wishes that I win one of the prizes that are being given away for posting every day.
Oh, and guess what? Starting tomorrow I can say, "I'm having a baby this month." Eee.
