You know you're a mother of small children when going to a junior high choir concert constitutes as a fun night and a "good time." But in all honesty, it was a much deserved night out and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Inkling invited me to go with her to her school's (and Jason's since they teach at the same school) choir concert, and I gladly left Jason to do library night with the girls whilst I put on a non-nursing friendly dress and wore dangly non-kid friendly earrings. Oh the joys!
The choir did a great job--not cringe worthy at all (which can sometimes be the case with school music concerts). Inkling and I managed to squeeze in some fabulous conversation between songs, during intermission, and then after the concert, over dessert at the Konditerai.
It was like a little three-hour vacation, on a Tuesday night. I'll take it.
