New Trick

Jules has learned a new trick: how to blow her nose.

While this comes in handy as she suffers through this cold of hers--we are constantly telling her "Blow!"--it has produced some serious laundry ramifications.

Yesterday, she walked through the kitchen, and as she passed by the fridge, she grabbed hold of the towel hanging from the handle and blew her nose.

Later, I walked into the bathroom to discover half a dozen washclothes on the floor, all of which Jules had pulled out from the drawer and blown her nose on.

Fabulous.

Hey, I don't blame the girl...towels are much softer than plain ole' tissues! Good luck with that!

I actually laughed out loud (by myself) when I read this! It takes so long for kids to understand what blowing their nose means, and when they figure it out, they do it, on whatever soft material they can find! I hope your sweet girl feels better soon. :) Meghan

ps Thanks for the tip on Clean Well, I bought some and its now in my diaper bag!

THAT'S MY GIRL!!! Wait till I teach her that horseback riding will be really cool and she starts using her sleeves and gloves to wipe her nose!
Fabulous!!

That is cute! Everyone knows that snot is benign until the age of two. Right?

My older kids still don't understand how to blow their noses correctly. I failed in that department.

sorry that happened about your last entry, man what nutters there are out there. you have the guts to write stuff in a clever/humorous way that people (me) could only dream about attempting, but then chicken out. so, keep on writing the truth, even the half-truth...we need it, even the nutters do.

Oooh! How did you teach her this??? I have a nearly 5 year old boy who still REFUSES to blow his nose. I have fears that I'll still be chasing him with a Kleenex at his high school graduation. Plus his 18 month old brother is picking up on his phobia and starting to emulate him! Ack!

BTW: Totally missed the nastiness from the other day, and am glad I did. Love your blog and you keep on keepin' on sistah!
