Stamped Conversation

Steph: I bought some more Forever Stamps since postage is going up on Monday. Yay me.

Jason: Why would anyone buy anything other than Forever Stamps?

S: Well, I'm not sending out party invitations with the Liberty Bell on them. Bleh. I have to have other stamps around too.

J: The Liberty Bell is symbolic and very important to our country. What did Tiffany stained glass ever do to deserve a spot on a stamp?

S: The Liberty Bell is borrring.

J: The Liberty Bell is a national treasure. That's probably why it's on the Forever Stamp. Because it'll be important forever.

It's very important that I understand how my stamp-worldview measures up. So, I'm asking you, dear readers, the state of postage in your house. I even made up a little poll here, so you can answer anonymously to protect your stamp preference.

I learned something new today. My Liberty Bell stamps are eternal. I just bought them because that's what was in the stamp machine. I am not detail-oriented like that. I admire that you are.

To be honest, I only really care when it's Christmas and/or they have the disney stamps. Even though I will admit I do take a second or two to look when the stamp looks different on something I've recieved. I don't mind the Liberty Bell, I think I just send too much mail all the time.

I enjoy sending mail more when I have fun stamps. I loved our wedding RSVP stamps--DC Comic superheroes! Perfect for my comic-geek husband (she says fondly). But I'll get the borrring Forever stamps in a pinch.

I'm with you! I like the idea of Forever stamps--just not the reality of what they look like.

Silly History Teachers!!! They just don't understand. :)

Happy Mothers Day to you friend!!

You need an option for "I'm kind of dumb and never think to actually ask for Forever Stamps, and thus get stuck trying to deal with stupid penny stamps all the time."

Seriously, I end up with really boring and also not-Forever stamps. I've obviously got a postage disorder of some sort. I should probably stick with e-mail. :)

You know I HATE to disagree with you Cuz, but I totally agree with Jason on this one. I love the Liberty Bell. Of Course I love you too.
