Do you like that title? Does it make your eyebrows arch a little and wonder, "What's happening in nine months?! What? What?! Tell us!" Indeed, a lot can happen in nine months.
Well, to tell the truth, it isn't what's happening in nine months, it has what has happened over the last nine months. And no, I haven't secretly been hiding a pregnancy from you. Gosh, did you read the last post? I have my hands full, and can't even fathom adding to the mix right now (although I do so appreciate all the wonderful, insightful--and, yes, inspiring (that's for you, Pauline)--comments you left). I have, nevertheless, had this day marked on my calendar for nine months.
Technically, I guess it's more like nine and a half months.
Today is the birth of...
...our summer vacation. Today was Jason's last day of teaching, and after some classroom clean-up tomorrow, we will have 10 weeks of vacation together. Even though Jules dumped 16 ounces of juice on the the newly mopped floors, even though Sydney dumped bubble solution all over the patio, even though I had to do a frantic clean-up the house routine before a realtor came over--it was still a good day.
Because rain or shine (and it looks like this summer is going to bring us far too much rain), summer vacation is here.
Heck, we're even kicking off vacation right with a trip to Boston, Philadelphia, NYC, and Washington D.C. How about that? Yay for summer.
