If you live locally, you might have heard last night's news story about hypodermic needles being attached to business doors and pay phones. One of the victims of the "prank" (?!) was Jason's dad. Early yesterday morning, when he was opening up the door to his coffee shop, he discovered--the painful way--that someone had attached a needle to the door handle. He checked the other doors in the adjacent businesses, but they were clear. Turns out, that the one door he didn't check--on the backside of the building complex--had a needle on the door handle too, and so the manager of that business was also pricked by a needle. Down the road someone else was pricked by a needle taped to the handle of a pay phone at the library.
Jason's dad is fine, and at the moment it appears there is no health concern. But still. It's more than a little alarming to have this happen.
