(are you ready for it?...)
...happy hats for a happy baby!
This is the hat that Jules wore home from the hospital, and now Addie gets her turn at wearing it (though not for long...it's already a bit small on her).
...hats with history!
This is a hat gifted to us from Aunt Sarah, who bought it in Mexico for one of her nieces. It's made the rounds through Sarah's family, and now Addie gets a turn at wearing it this winter. I just LOVE knitted baby hats, and I'm always tempted to buy them.
...hats from her uncle Nathan.
Yes, having an uncle who lives in Rhode Island has made it necessary for our girls to root for New England teams.
Adelynn is very happy to be 8 weeks old!
Behind the photoshoot: Since I want each letter represented by a concrete noun that Addie will be able to identify in a photobook, that nixed a few of my ideas for H. Addie's middle name starts with H, but names are kind of abstract. "Happy" and "home" are also great H words, but also more abstract. So, I thought I'd do "hugs" for this week.
That particular photo shoot didn't go quite as planned...
Between Jules's miserable expression (she says she was hungry) and Addie's semi-terrified one, this is probably not the Christmas photo that we'll be sending out this year (although it might make people laugh). I didn't even bother Photoshopping the spit-up off Addie's dress...this is what you call a "real moment" in our house.
When the hugging turned out to be less than happy, I turned to a less fussy prop, and one that Adelynn found considerably less frightening than her time with the big sisters.
