...our littlest light whose laugh is the one of the best sounds in the world.
All I want for Christmas...
...is more of these smiles.
And if Santa can fit it in my stocking, a good night's sleep from my little lamb is always nice.
The photoshoot: This week, I turned to my Facebook friends to give me some ideas. Even though Little Miss is a good sleeper, I'm still a little foggy some days. My fabulous FB peeps gave me some great ideas: lollipops, lavender, legs, lips, lions, literature, love, limes, lemons, ladybugs, lace, licorice, laundry, and others (even "lice and leprosy" from my sweet friend Becca, who clearly hasn't read enough Anne Geddes books). Thanks to all their suggestions, I had so many ideas for this week's picture. I even remember that many weeks ago I had thought of doing a laundry-inspired photoshoot for the letter L.
But it's December.
And our tree is up, the lights are on our house, and the candy-cane shaped jingle bells are hanging on our door. So I had to go with lights. And then--because I had the hat and she was sleeping--I got the lamb photo.
It's appropriate, anyway, since Adelynn has brought so much light into my life. Of course, all my children have brought me light and beauty and joy, but there was something special about having this baby after a long-haul pregnancy that just made me appreciate life in a whole new way.
To my little light, my love. You made our family complete.
