Last night, the respiratory therapist took Addie completely off oxygen. It was a bit rough at first. She had some extended moments of her O2 stats being in the upper 80s, which is not good enough. But she worked at it, she continued to nurse, she even decided to keep me up for a few hours in the middle of the night showing me her new trick of rolling over. I was happy in my heart, even if I was so exhausted I could hardly keep my eyes open.
We got through the night, and guess what?
Well, I'll let her tell you the good news.
Four nights and three days later, we get to go home.
She and I celebrated by having a dance party in the hospital room. Oh yeah. A little "Hey Soul Sister" was definitely in order.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your prayers. You'll never know how much it meant to me.
