Addie decided that she's not stopping at the alphabet. Nope. She's going to discover all her colors. And numbers too!
I tried to talk her out of it, but she smiled sweetly at me and then I gave in. I couldn't resist.
For good measure, she's going multilingual with her colors.
"Red" in Spanish.
"Red" in Japanese.
And, no, I don't speak Japanese. But I wanted to choose one other language, and decided to go with Japanese so that each week when I look up the translation I will be reminded to pray for the people of Japan.
I confess, I wasn't going to continue the weekly photos past Addie's Alphabet, but I thought of three things.
One: I love taking pictures of Addie, and I'll be darned if that girl doesn't love having her picture taken. She sees a camera and starts smiling.
Two: Addie's great-grandma (who doesn't get to see Addie too often) gets my blog posts by email and I know she'd be awfully disappointed if she didn't get to see weekly pictures of her sweet little great-granddaughter.
Three: I'm going to make Addie's Alphabet into a photobook, and I figured I might as well go fully educational and get colors and numbers in there too. I'm also inspired by the fact that the weather is getting nicer (so I can take pictures outside), and Addie can sit up (which is exciting).
So, the weekly tradition continues.
Hope that's okay with you.
