Live in the sunshine,
swim the sea,
drink the wild air. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
In these winter months, sunshine comes to us a little at a time. Not so much that we get used to it--can we who live in the Pacific Northwest ever get used to sunshine?--but enough that when the rains come, the fog settles, and the clouds close us in for days unending, we can close our eyes and remember.
There was a day the sun came out.
We never know when the sun will come back, but we believe it will. Because it always does.
